1.    Why should I obey the commands of Jesus?

Well, demons obey the commands of Jesus.  All of the heavenly host obey the commands of Jesus.  The wind and the sea and all of the natural world obey the commands of Jesus.  Disease and illness obey the commands of Jesus.  Even Death itself obeys the commands of Jesus.  So if these heavy hitters obey the commands of Jesus, perhaps they know something you do not.  Let us suggest that based upon these facts alone, if you do not obey the commands of Jesus, you do so at your peril.

2.    How can I be sure that the Bible contains the commands of Jesus?

How can you be sure of anything?  If you had the personal accounts of some of his closest disciples like: Matthew, Peter, and John, would that be enough?  How about the accounts of his two half brothers James and Jude? If some reporter interviewed Jesus Mother, Mary, and gave her account, would that be enough?   The real question is what will it take to convince you?  In reality the Bible is the best attested piece of ancient literature mankind possesses.  You can choose not to believe that the Bible is true and correct, but you do so in the face of overwhelming evidence.

3.    I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior isn’t that enough?

Enough for salvation?  Yes.  But if you say that you believe Jesus is your Lord and Savior, who died for your sins, and yet you do not obey his commands, how can both facts be true?

4.    Isn’t your message just salvation by works?

Does the Book of James teach salvation by works?

Does Jesus teach salvation by works when he says that the one who loves him is the one who obeys his commands?

This website has nothing to do with salvation.

It has everything to do with those who hear the call of Christ to move beyond being disciples, learners, and to become the slaves of God.
